More Idaho gardens

July29

I am a bit of an overachiever.

Not always, but sometimes, especially when opportunity comes knocking at the door. I let her in. So, with gal pal Debra Prinzing, of Stylish Sheds and Abundant Gardens fame came to town, off we went in search of the best gardens in Ketchum and Hailey. We were NOT disappointed.

Gardening in Hailey and Ketchum is not for the fainthearted. They might have all of 45 days for their growing season. But garden they do, and beautifully. MMMMMM. There’s a good reason it was named Sun Valley.

Our thanks to all the folks that let us stroll through their gardens, in some cases unannounced, some with all of 30 minutes notice. Thanks to Jennifer Colson of the Sawtooth Botanical Garden for making it happen. Thanks to Kim for the fine cocktail hour. To Julie for being the tour guide. To Cindy for letting us play in the new Basque Sheepherder’s wagon.

I love your photo gallery. You were just whipping out that camera and capturing the very best shots . . . so many breathtaking images that I missed. The Pioneers and a whirlygig presents the perfect palette of Sun Valley. Thanks for sharing your special place with me, and with everyone, through these images, dkp
