I am privileged to be a part of a great group of people who raise money for horticulture and horticultural education programs in Idaho. Here’s what we have been able to do:
The Lunaria League has raised $63,000 in 5 years and here is how it has been distributed:
Idaho Botanical Gardens
$50,000
BSU Horticulture Program: reference materials for their student library and training manuals
$3000
Sawtooth Botanical Garden
$2100
Boise Urban Garden School
BUGS $1500
Capitol Park
$4400
Pacific NW Garden Clubs
$1450
Vineyard Christian Fellowship/Garden of Feedin’: $1000
(I am especially thrilled about this small gift: they raised 20,775 pounds of food on 1/3 acre for the hungry, fed 1281 families or 4100 individuals)
Western Idaho Fair Garden Programs: awards for the best flower/biggest vegetables
$900
thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.

Great work!
We use proceeds from donations to Garden Walk Buffalo to fund community gardens throughout the area every year. Never was money so easily raised.

Yesterday someone called me from Boise to ask if I knew a gardening coach there. I looked in the Coaching directory, found none, and suggested a few ways to find one - consultants at nurseries, master gardeners - but after I hung up was all “Damn@! I wish I’d told her to come see Mary Ann.”
