Eglu or chicken coop by any other name
You have got to check this out! Right now I am thinking I need a warehouse to become the nation’s first distributor of this chicken coop for the urban garden. The Omlet eglu. A new fangled version of the old chicken tractor and it comes in PURPLE! Can take up to 10 cluckers and layers and you hose it down to clean it. Rain cover and no American foxes allowed. The large model is 695 pounds sterling so it would set us back about 1400 American dollars plus shipping. A bit pricey but the design is ingenious. I want one. And there are JUST eleven shopping days left until my birthday. Hint hint hint.
For more on chicken tractors read Pollan’s Omnivore’s Dilemma.
My neighbors would absolutely freak out if I got one of those and put it in my back yard. But I know that feeling when you absolutely have to have something, so you go for it! Let us know how it works out.

Dunno about my neighbors, or the laws, but I want one. And some nice chickens. And fresh eggs.
We would need the “foxproof chicken run.” We have raccoons and opposums visit my backyard in Brooklyn!
HI,
Just wanted to leave a quick message. I absolutely love it too. But the omlet company, maker of the eglu has a US site:http://www.omlet.us/homepage/homepage.php
so far, the only have the original but they should have the cube soon and it seems quite a bit cheaper. Good luck on the birthday front!
