Idaho Rivers United and the Idaho Arid Gardening Alliance are offering a tour of Waterwise Gardens in the Treasure Valley, tomorrow, September 23, from 9-2. Maps can be picked up at the Native Plant Demo garden next to the MK Nature Center at 600 South Walnut, just off Warm Springs and Walnut. Idaho Rivers made grants available to homeowners who were willing to re-think their blue grass lawns in favor of waterwise, drought tolerant plant materials. The idea is to save time, money, and the Boise River. A $5 donation is appreciated.
